    Lou has stepped up his game with high end toppings like feta, Gorgonzola, spinach and basil. Right now things like tomatoes and basil come straight from his own garden. The specialty pizzas, the Chicago stuffed pizzas, the killer salads, etc. make this place stand out. Grove City rocks pizza and Tristano's is one reason why.

    I had their stuffed pizza on Friday for the first time. I had another on Sunday. This place does not go light on the toppings. There is nothing "GFS" about this pizza. The crust is great. Some of the cheese seems to get rolled up in it some how and it is almost like eating some sort of bread stick. The sauce is not super chunky. I hate big chunks of tomato in sauce. This sauce is great. Uno's pizza made me not want to try this style of pizza again. So I was hesitant to give Tristano's stuffed pizza a try. I'm glad I did, my waist line isn't too happy about it though.

    So my family and i are on a pizza adventure every week were going to start eating at a new pizza restaurant so we can really see who has the best pizza in Columbus Ohio. My family and i ate here on friday we got the Chicago style pizza. The pizza was looked amazing but tasted just ok there was to much sause and the mushrooms tasted werid i gave this pizza a 5 out of 10. On to the next pizza shop hopefully i want be disappointed like i was here.

    I've never had authentic deep dish Chicago pizza before. I imagine this is what it tastes like. Everything about the pizza was perfect. If you could pull out each ingredient, you would still eat the food. Let me explain: the sauce was so good, I would eat it as a tomato soup; the cheese was so good, I would eat it as mozzarella pearls and dip them in the sauce; the dough was amazing, I imagine they could make good bread sticks. The fact that they decided to combine all these wonderful, fresh ingredients into pizza makes me wish I had Joey Chestnut's stomach, so I could eat 12 of them. Don't be alarmed by the prices here. The small deep dish pizza is more than enough for two people. 2 of them will satisfy a group of 5, easily. I love this homey little place. I wish I lived in the upstairs apartment. I would walk downstairs and eat this everyday.

    What a great place to eat has a mom and pop feeling to it when you go to dine in. Had the deep dish and the pesto pizza they were packed full of flavor all made to order. Will definitely recommend to other people.

    Absolutely delicious. Agreed with other reviews, this place is up to the Chicago standard in my opinion. I'm not claiming to be a connoisseur of Chicago style pizza but I have eaten some in my time and this is the best in Columbus. Crust was crisp and not failing in soggy limp dough. The sausage is big and juicy. Ingredients are fresh. Tried the fried hot pepper cheese. Yum. Worth the 30 min trip in all. Place wasn't fancy and what you expect from a dive of a place (mean that as a compliment). It is a old house with indoor and outdoor seating. Few parking spots in the back and street parking. Def go! 2 Yums up.

    Got this for take out and this puppy weighed like 5 pounds. Stuffed pizza didn't look amazing, but tasty really good. The sauce was decent. The crust was just discarded as it really didn't really serve any purpose to the pie except to hold the ingredients in. Finally have a reason to go to grove city. This place would be jammed packed all open hours if located on OSU's campus. Overall, the stuffed pizza was legit, and delicious. Probably should give this 5 stars since it's located in Ohio... but sorry, 4 stars.

    Best pizza in Columbus. We are from Florida and have struggled to find a good pizza in Columbus. People keep recommending places like masseys and donatos...yuck! This place has an amazing stuffed pizza called the Chicago style. So fresh, so yummy! Really good canollis too.

    What a cute little place in....Grove City? I can't think of another time I've driven to Grove City with the intention of finding delicious food. But I was told this place has the best deep dish pizza, and my boyfriend was dying to have me try it. It's a family-owned place with maybe six tables inside, and a deck with some picnic tables outside. You should order your deep-dish ahead of time if you are eating in, since they take about 45 minutes to bake. I mean, a large is loaded with probably 5 pounds of cheese (holy crap!) so it makes sense. We also ordered some wings once we got there, and a small salad. The salad had a great dressing served with it (their house dressing, I think), and the wings were delicious. I'm a thin crust kinda girl, so I can't say I was super excited about the pizza, but it was still very good. Melty, stringy cheese oozing out of the sides when you serve up your slice. The crust is braided and folded over, so there are topping inside the crust, which was my favorite part. We each only ate one piece of the pizza, then took it home. Enough for dinner for three nights, which made the price worth it. They have a great bottled beer selection, and there are a couple taps that were not working the night we were there, but typically they have good brews on tap, I'm told. The owner was very friendly, we had a good conversation with him before we left. Told us about his inspiration for the pies they make here, and the places we must try when we are in Chicago.

    Had a thin crust. Well, a couple of them. The sausage on the pizza is delicious homemade. So tasty! I had the pizza with BBQ sauce...delicious! I also tried the #1 seller pizza with sausage and banana peppers...very very good. The fried pepper cheese appetizer was the only item that was just okay. My son was missing fried cheese curds and we tried these. No. They were okay but they weren't fried curds. The pizza was so good though, Tasty thin crust, excellent toppings. Service was attentive, but slower than I am used to.

    A great small place to eat! An old converted home in old Grove City makes for a quaint setting for a wonderful Chicago style pizzeria. Good selection of craft beers and wine. The restaurant wasn't busy and the service was really good. The guys who work there are very helpful and know their pizza and beer! The only thing I would change would be pint glasses for the beers and a few space heaters! That old house is pretty drafty in the cold weather! The pizza was huge for a small but so tasty and mouthwatering! We ordered Tristano's All the Way Chicago style pizza and zucchini sticks. Loved it all! Can't wait to come back!

    Tuesday night pizza night turned into a real road trip, going all the way to Tristano's in Grove City. With all of the great reviews, it had to be done. Living in New Albany, Grove City functions as my Bizarro World - a city on the other side of Columbus, directly opposite to us, where I imagine everything to be opposite. It is only fitting then, that with New Albany's flat, crackery, mostly tasteless Eagles Villa Pizza, that Tristano's boasts a fine deep dish, flavorful pie. The service at Tristano's is excellent. The old house converted to a restaurant, is right up my alley. The beer selection - awesome. The place was easily set up for five stars. Not wanting to make this trip twice, if I didn't have to, I ordered both the deep dish and the thin crust (both pep and shroom, of course). The deep dish nearly broke my wrist carrying it to the car (a small easily fed two of us). The deep dish sports a nice crust, crisp on the outside and chewy, with good air pockets under the rim. My only knock on the crust is it lacks flavor. The sauce was good and a little tart - some more herbs would've put it over the top. Cheese ratios were very good. My only real complaint is that the mushrooms on both pies were rubbery (I believe they were canned, not fresh). The pepperoni had a great kick to it! The thin crust had all of the same ingredients, but we didn't enjoy it nearly as much. The crust, at the rim, becomes very hard (and, again, lacks flavor). If you are a deep dish fan, Columbus doesn't have a ton to offer and Tristano's is definitely worth the trip. Overall, I'd give the deep dish three and a half stars, with the charm of the place and the beer selection pushing the place to four stars.

    We had a sausage and pepperoni deep dish and it was absolutely delicious. The crust was perfectly crispy and had layers of cheese and more pepperoni folded in to create a marbling of cheesey goodness. They also have a great beer selection for a small pizza place. For the amount of food you get, the price is not bad at all either.

[/Coupon Tip] Really can't say anything bad about this place, but the pizza is just not for me. I didn't try the Chicago style, because I don't like Chicago style. I tried the thin crust. The crust is *very* thin and *very* crispy. So if you like that, this is your place. They also offer cannolis--big ones--but they aren't particularly good (or bad). The cheese sticks are pretty good, too.

    Family ordered large Chicago pizza with pepperoni. Absolutely fabulous. We are from out of town but come to Grove City AMC to see movies. We will be back for more pizza. Also I had a side vegetable side salad. Very fresh. Love this place!

    Based on previous reviews, my family decided to visit Tritano's. We are happy we did! The place doesn't look like much, a converted house with very basic seating....and that seating is limited! But what it lacks in decor, it makes up for in taste. The deep dish pizza was phenomenal and the cheese bread was good as well. Add the fact that they have Fat Tire and Magic Hat on tap and this is one of my new favorites.

    Where do I begin to describe the terrible experience we had at this place tonight. After reading rave reviews on Yelp, we decided to drive 40 minutes to get there. This location is an old house that has been converted. We wasn't exactly sure how to even get in the place. There were folks sitting outside on the patio that surrounds the front and side of the building. When we walked in the door we asked if there were any tables available outside and was told yes. The very small dining area inside was very warm. After we chose one of the available picnic tables outside we were given menus and then waited about 15 minutes before our drink order was taken. After placing our order a man from the kitchen came out and told the party sitting next to us that they were expecting a large party at 7:30 and they needed to prep the tables. The only prep that needed done was to remove a couple of cups and pizza pans. If they wanted to stay they had to go inside. Thankfully, they had already eaten and was just socializing while waiting on a to go order. After receiving our drinks, we were asked to move inside because they needed the table space for the large party. We asked to switch to a very small table for two around the corner and was told no, we had to go inside. After waiting nearly a half hour for an appetizer and salad they finally showed up. The waitress never asked if we needed refills on our drinks. We had to keep stopping her as she walked by our table. In the meantime the large party showed up and all attention was diverted to them. Two couples came in was never acknowledged and got up and walked out. When our food came out nearly an hour after ordering it was wrong. We ordered two of the deep dish pizzas and one came out with thin crust. When the waitress told the cook, he said we would have to wait an hour if we wanted another one. The waitress's customer service skills were very poor. We paid our bill and I told them we would never be back. We were just in Chicago last week and had deep dish pizza that was excellent. This pizza wasn't all that great. Garlic bread and salad was good.

    Being a pizza snob from Chicago, I decided to give this place a try. Ordered a small stuff sausage pizza and an Italian beef sandwich. the beef sandwich is the same as you would get in Chicago, and the pizza was the closest I have found to true deep dish outside of Chicago. I think this might be a new regular spot for me and my family.

    I am also from Chicago and am always skeptical when I hear a restaurant has "Chicago style pizza". I saw the great yelp reviews and decided to make the trek to Grove City. I decided to order a small Chicago style as I thought that would be enough for a growing boy (or at least that's how I rationalize my large appetite). When I picked up the pizza the box was smaller than a normal personal pizza. I was immediately disappointed. Even though the size was a little small it was definitely dense. When I opened the box I was very intrigued by what I saw, mounds of sauce and cheese on top of stuffed crust. I usually have a "no food" policy in my car but decided to make an exception. And, it was well worth it! The pizza was incredible and just like the Chicago pizza from back home. One of the best pizzas I have had in the Columbus area and have tried around 80 or so. It also took me 3 meals to finish the small pizza. I will be back!

    Having had Chicago pizza on my trips to windy city....I was always looking out for a similar pizza in town. We came across Tristano's by accident a few years ago while searching for another pizza joint...we just went in not knowing what to expect...ohhh man, this is the best pizza outside of Chicago in my opinion! The food does take a while to come out to your table (as expected), but they do have plenty of delicious appetizers to hold you over :) The atmosphere - kind of like home! The tables, setting, all very cozy and comfy. The food though - it's what it's all about...if it's authentic Chicago style pizza you are after with a bottle of ice cold beer...you will not be disappointed!

    First time there; had a medium thin crust & small deep dish. Ate outside on the patio with a bottle of wine. Deep dish was excellent. Service great. This is a great local place to have a good meal on a nice evening. We'll be back.

    This is really good deep dish pizza. Sure, it's not as good as it'd be at the best place in Chicago, but it is damn tasty and that's hard to find anywhere, never mind in Grove City. Also, the guy who runs it is a character which makes the whole process more fun. This place also has one of the best bottled beer selections of any restaurant I've been to in Ohio and beats the selection at a lot of places I go in Seattle, Portland and DC. Seriously, I had to choose which really good stout I wanted to drink with my pizza. The pizza itself is thick and hot and comes out smelling amazing. You eat at a few different little tables in what was clearly the front room of the house that the restaurant now occupies. The tables have that vinyl one side, fake felt on the other side table clothes that give it the final bit of hole-in-the-wall charm. If you like deep dish and/or good beer, this is pretty much the only place in Grove City (and really in Columbus at large) that I've been to and liked.

    Thanks alot Yelpers! While reviewing one of a kind restaurants for a birthday I followed the advise of some yay-hoos who said this place was good! I concede, you were RIGHT! Bruschetta? No Bettah! Meatballs as a topping? Oh Yeah! Giardiniera Peppers? What? Chicago Deep Dish? More than worth the wait, a revelation in the crusts! Homemade cheese cake, not frozen or made with Jello? Damn Right! Not a chain restaurant? No it looks more like a house converted to a restaurant. Ambiance? You may share a long table with others but they gotz the Beers! Black Horse on tap as well as 3 other micro-brews and 2 fridges full of a huge variety of adult libations! They found the cure for my cursed sobriety! I will be back and next time I'll bring an army!

    Love this pizza! If you want great Chicago style pizza, this is your place. Even with a small, you get about a quarter pound of cheese on each slice. Get a small and a few salads and it's enough for 3 people! I haven't tried the thin crust, but I'm sure it's great. Now, it's basically in the first floor of a house a couple blocks from the main strip in Grove City, so one might think its pretty low class, but that would not be accurate. The pizza is very high quality, with great sauce, the salad dressing is REAL dressing that needs mixed before pouring, not that thick syrupy crap that you see everywhere. Their beer selection is very surprising too, with a few great microbrews on tap and some nice bottled selections too. Service isn't top notch, sit around talking, making you feel good, but it's quick and accurate. I love it!

    I have grown up in Grove City and seen multiple pizza places come and go. I hope Tristano's is around forever!! There are two options that I prefer, 1st the thin crust, it is always crisp and flavorful and my favorite pizza. 2nd is the deep dish, I can eat a lot of pizza but getting 2 slices of the deep dish is about all I can handle. I travel frequently for business and have had a wide range of pizza, Tristano's is tops! The atmosphere at the pizzeria is inviting, simple and small town, during the summer there is usually live music on the patio and the wide selection of beers is great to browse through. I always enjoy a place when the owner is there working his butt off, it tells me that he stands behind his product and is working to put out only the best. Try it out, you won't be disappointed.

    We arrived and ordered a pizza with mushrooms; they were out of mushrooms. We also ordered salad, garlic bread, and 2 IPAs. (We had received a text earlier in the day about a special they had going on for a two item pizza w/bread and salad.) When they were out of mushrooms, we said we'd try sundried tomatoes. We were told they would be an additional $2. Now, if YOU were out of an ESSENTIAL pizza ingredient, would you say this to your customer who chose this only because mushrooms weren't available? Regarding our two IPAs--after about 10 minutes, our waitress came out and said she was waiting on Lou to get the beer as she was not legally old enough to serve. Evidently the other waitress wasn't either. After about 20 minutes, my boyfriend went in to ask about the beer but was ignored. I then went in to ask about the beer and if perhaps I could pour myself one! Lou came out to the taps, obviously flustered and in a very foul mood. I tried to be friendly, said something like "rought night? did someone call off?" to which there's was no response. I was never greeted and there was little acknowledgement of my presence. The beer tap poured foam and he said "I'm not going to waste all this beer trying to get you two glasses". I said "we will have water then". When I went back to our table, we actually thought about leaving--which I have never done. We decided against it because our waitress was such a nice young lady. I can only wonder how he treats his staff if that is the way he treats his customers. Finally, our pizza, salad, and garlic bread came out ALL together with our water and we ate--to never return and to spread the word. The food isn't good enough to merit being treated poorly. Lou came out to smoke a cigarrette at some point so maybe he was having a bad day or needed a cigarette--at any rate, that's definitely no way to keep a customer when there are literally hundreds of dining out options in Columbus and Grove CIty.Lou should have at least apologized once he had his cigarrette and was feeling a little less flustered...we would've accepted that...but instead we left wanting to share this story of a very bad dining experience. (As a side note, on my second visit, I had the stuffed pizza. It wasn't bad, but it can't compare with Chicago stuffed pizza)

    The food here is amazing and this would be a 5 star review if not for the horrible service. The meatball pizza, Italian beef, or stuffed pizza are awesome. The people taking orders are well below average. Every time we order we get a teenage girl who is more interested in talking to her friends than taking our order. Even with the poor service the food is amazing!

    Hello best deep dish pizza we've had in Columbus! Found this place through a Yahoo search of "deep dish pizza Columbus Ohio" and SO glad we did! The sauce is zesty and only *slightly* chunky which is good news since I hate tomato chunks! (Like Pizzera Uno does on theirs) The crust, as well as the whole pizza was LOADED with cheese. I mean I literally had to pull a cheese plug out of my throat to keep from dying! So I recommend *small* bites since the cheese doesn't break down no matter how much you chew it. This seems more like a take out place since there's only a few tables out front. But the guy behind the counter was really nice and invited us to come back to watch the fireworks later. We will DEFINITELY be back and bringing friends! We don't even mind driving the 15 mile trek for it!

    Columbus lacks a lot of Chicago style places. We have chains who claim they do it Chicago style, but come on, Anyone touting UNO's as authentic should have their heads checked. That place is for the birds and tourists. Tristano's is for the people who want a good authentic pizza, and the owner here knows how to do it, and do it relatively well. I tried coming to Tristano's in the past, but it was a hot summer evening, and hot places lacking good AC and hot pizza just don't mix well in my books, so we opted to come back another time. I'm glad we finally made it back around here. We opted for just a plain jane Cheese pizza and Deep dish style. I seriously do not know what we were thinking by the two of us ordering a large. Hungry, much? However, it ended up working out to our favor because we finished it off the next day for lunch, and the pizza was just as good.. if not better after it had congealed. Lots of layers of pizza goodness, and the outer edge is chewy, but not doughy and definitely not flaky. Lots of sauce, but not cheap sauce by any means. It's absolutely delicious. It's a good solid pizza and I can write it as being one of my faves in C-bus. Hands down. Make an exception to try this some time. You probably won't regret it. Half a block off of Grove City's main drag in an old green house. Get there, and bring me back some too, while you're at it!

    I'm in live with Chicago Style Pizza. This place is the ONLY place I know in Central Ohio that makes Authentic Chi-Town pizza. The atmosphere is quaint...a true hidden gem.

    Wow! Need I say more? Yelp says I do, so here goes. This guy knows pizza. Is from Chicago and trained in Chicago. Walked in and read the menu for the stuffed pizza. Talked about Sweet Lou's authentic recipe and I made the mistake of asking if that was based on Lou Malnaties. The guy I was talking to was Sweet Lou and he proceeded to berate the Chicago dynasty. And for good reason. This pizza is crazy good. Had the sausage and pepperoni. He makes his own sausage, which is really good. He also serves Italian Beef and tosses the gardinera on pizza when requested. He brought me a side which will make me never ask for crushed red pepper again. Place is dinky, but the pizza came out in record time. Good beer selection and a must eat for anyone in the Columbus area. Got to get back to my hotel, drop a deuce, and finish the leftovers!

    As Deep Dish Pizza goes this place is in 1st place around town. I've been to Giordano's in Chicago and this came close. I would recommend the sausage deep dish and ask for lite cheese. I have never tried anything else on the menu. It always takes 45 minutes for the mini deep dish. The 5 stars are purely the rating for the deep dish.

    Tristano's is delicious. Set in a charming converted turn of the century house, the setting from the street looks warm and inviting. Decor inside is minimal and utilitarian. For example the cash wrap is unfinished plywood. It is also quite warm inside (at least on this 80 degree night) despite several ceiling fans. There is ample seating outside though. Inside there a great window into the spotless kitchen where you can watch them prepare the dough and making your pie, which provided a lot of entertainment. This would be great for a first date on a cool night! On to the food: We tried the appetizer sampler with fried zucchini, mushrooms, and cheese sticks. It was served piping hot. Cheese sticks were fairly standard, the mushrooms were bland but crunchy. The star of this dish was the fried zucchini, it had an almost tempura quality with light spicing and good texture that allowed the flavor of the zucchini to come through. The portion of this app would be best with 3-4, it's a lot for 2. For our entree we went with a small deep dish with sausage and green pepper. This was what got that 5 stars. A sweet, thin, crunchy to the center of the pie crust that hugs in a tomato sauce that is beautifully balanced, not too sweet, well spiced and good quality mozzarella. The sausage was well seasoned Classic Italian sausage. Many think deep dish is a bready, spongy thick carb disaster a la Pizza Hut. Real deep dish has a lovely pleasant crust, that is never like eating a loaf of bread or soggy. Tristano's does deep dish RIGHT. A small will easily feed 3-4, and is a steal at 13.00$ for a cheese pie. They deliver but in a limited area (thank God because I'd be eating pizza 3 times a week). This is a must try destination, particularly if deep dish is your jam

    This was our third visit to Tristano's and while the pizza was as good as ever, there were a couple of issues that made our brains spin. In our past visits, there was always a (excuse this expression please), shit ton of different beer and wine options to choose from. Shortly after arriving tonight, the waitress let us know they were down to 5 wine choices, (bottles only, no wine by the glass), had no beer on tap and their bottled beer selection has shrunk considerably. One person in our party ordered a diet coke and when they later asked for a refill, was told there was no more to be had. He then asked for iced tea and they only had the sweetened kind, so he had water....water with pizza?? Ouch. We started with 2 appetizers, breaded and fried cubes of pepper cheese and something called a Traditional pizza, which consisted of a garlic butter crust with romano cheese & sliced onion and herbs. It came with a marinara dipping sauce. Both were very good. We then ordered pizzas. I had The Coronary, which had 7 different types of meat: ham, capicola, meatballs, salami, pepperoni, sausage & bacon. I asked them to add jalapenos as well. My wife got a basic sausage & pepperoni pie. Our friends had sausage, pepperoni, olives, banana peppers and bacon. Our other friends, (there were 6 of us there), had a cheese & broccoli pizza. All were thin crust. We've had the Chicago style pizzas they offer before, but tonight it was thin crust all the way. Then something else odd happened...we asked for boxes for the leftovers and our checks. When the checks came, there was no mention of the appetizers we had ordered, nor were there any charges for the beer, wine and other drinks we had consumed. We could have paid and left, without mentioning this, but we were already worried this place might soon be closing up, (based on our beer and wine observations from earlier). So we talked to our waitress and with a confused look on her face, she took the bills back, asked a few questions about who was paying for what and scurried away. She soon came back with amended bills, but as nothing was itemized, we really had no idea as to what we were being charged for. We paid the bills and left...with an uneasy feeling. We weren't feeling ripped off, or anything like that...we just missed the awesomeness from our past dinners and wondered if we would ever be able dine here again. We've all seen places we have loved and adored close down, (for a variety of reasons) and we're really hoping the warning signs we saw tonight were false. Yes the pizzas were great, even the broccoli & cheese one. Yes the service was weird. Yes the place looks like it needs to be bull dozed and replaced. Yes we will go back time and again, as long as they keep making great pizza. Did I mention this was my favorite pizza here in the Columbus area? Been here now for close to 2 years and have tried all of the "regulars" like Donatos and Jetts (and too many others to mention), but so far have not found anyone making a better pie. I'm up for suggestions and will road trip!

    Pizza and wings--insert manly grunts here--"grunt grunt grunt". Alright so I had the thin crust pepperoni and pineapple (Did you say PiNEAPPLE!? And thin crust?! Remove manly grunts!). and it was delicious--they put a lot of nice spices and there is a lot of flavor to their pizza--great job, good amount of cheese and sauce. Not too much, not too little-just right. Also ordered the wings-buffalo style--they were decent--if you got a hankerin' for wings this will cure that itch. They're not my favorite but they were respectable. Make sure to ask for blue cheese or ranch if you want it. Looking forward to the leftovers!

    So far the best pizza I have had here in Grove City, but there are still a few places to try. As others have said it looks dingy on the outside and I honestly can tell you that I would never of known they were a running business. The house is not well lit outside, the sign is faded out and I don't think they have lights hitting it either which they really should fix to make it easier for people to find them. I didn't go into the shop so can't tell you much bout that, but luckily other yelpers did it : ) As for the pizza it was very different, because I was raised on Pizza Hut crap, lol. I got a small deep dish with sausage and pepperoni, of which there was plenty of each. It was very heavy in the box and I think its because they use a pound of cheese on it mmmmmmm. The sauce was thick and somewhat chunky with excellent flavor. the sausage tasted homemade and also very tasty. The small was plenty for me and my guy. The price was right at $13.00 for a one topping deep dish pizza, but they consider cheese as the one topping. Additional toppings are $1.00 each. We will definitely be back and trying some of their other menu items as their menu is pretty big. I highly recommend you try this place soon!

    I've only had Chicago deep dish twice so I won't pretend to know how well Tristano's compares. What I can say is that it's darn good stuff. I had a takeout order and while I waited I enjoyed the beautiful weather with a draft beer on their patio. They have about 4 craft beers on draft and a cooler full of various bottles. They also offer wine by the bottle. All with the option of ordering it to go. My first thought while I waited was "this better be darn good pizza at $21.50 for a two topping large". That's actually before applying my $3 off coupon. A little hiccup occurred with their credit card machine's connectivity, and they seemed understaffed, but I wasn't in a rush. Lou and the poor girl running around the place were both very nice. Took my pizza home and even after stopping for milk it was plenty warm almost 20 mins later. Dove in with the wife as the kids already wasted their appetites on frozen chicken nuggets. I'm 6' 230lbs, had skipped lunch, and was still only able to eat 2 pieces. Value: check. Flavors: sausage dried out a bit but I'm guessing it's made in house with lots of fennel. The cheese and sauce were fantastic and pepperoni was good too. The crust looks excessive, but there's so much filling, you eat it with what's falling off the pizza. The closest suburb near my rural abode happens to be Grove City. What a nice find amidst the multitude of chain restaurants dotting Stringtown Rd. Thanks for choosing GC Lou.

    I only write a review if I'm truly impressed or completely disappointed. This is by far the best pizza I've ever had. You have to give this place a shot! Craft beers, deep dish pizza, kind staff, and such a cute, quaint little house turned restaurant. We even were given a special dessert- not on the menu, for my twin girls. It was so yummy! I live in Dublin and my spouse in Galloway. I will never visit string town rd during dinner time. We once went to two different restaurants with 45 min waits. Then found this gem on Yelp. It's a small place, holds about 30 people, but is never too busy and never has a wait. I wish more people would support this local business! BRAVO Tristano. :)

    Every time I've attempted to order Tristanos they have been closed I always call during the hours posted on their website. I have heard great things about their pizza sadly though I haven't gotten to try it like today the third attempt 130 on a Saturday they are closed even though their website clearly says 11 I called at 830 on a Wednesday I was told they are closed. It's a horrible business model.

    We got one of their pizzas to take home last night and it was so delicious. I'm not a fan of "deep dish pizza" around here, I don't generally like 5 inches of crust. Well this pizza is nothing like that! The crust itself is pretty thin, it's just wrapped up and around the toppings like a pie! It was delicious. The sauce was a little tangy and there was probably an entire bag of cheese on this thing! Very tasty! They also seem to have a pretty nice looking Craft Beer menu! We drive by here in the summer time and always see fun things going on, we are looking forward to the warmer months of enjoying good beer and pizza on their patio!

    Came here on a Friday evening. We thought it would be busy since it was Football Friday Night, but the place was dead! Which was great, because we didn't have to wait to be seated. This Pizzeria sits in a home in Grove City. It's quite unique and has a VERY relaxed atmosphere. The decor is very outdated and nothing to hype over. It actually is kind of a hole in the wall, haha. We sat down and ordered our drinks then began looking over the menu. First time ever here, but they have a good sized menu of a lot of different options. We read the reviews that the salads were good, so my husband and I split a salad as an appetizer and we also ordered our Deep Dish Pizza since that takes about 45 minutes to cook through. The salad was spot on! My husband and I both enjoyed it a lot! It's one of the better simplified salads that I've had in awhile and the tomatoes were very fresh and flavorful. The salad has Gorgonzola, Tomatoes, and Italian Dressing; like I said, simplified, but very good! The pizza came out, we ordered the smaller size and was more than enough for 2 people. Although, we didn't ask for sausage, it did come out with sausage... which in my eyes, was the worst item they could have put on my pizza (I do not like sausage one bit). They offered to make another one, but since it takes 45 minutes, we weren't going to place another order for a 45 minute pizza. Thankfully, I was able to be a little kid and pick the sausage off, haha. All around the food was very good! If I had one complaint, it would be the waitress seemed a little lacks. We were there for a solid hour and a half, and she only visited our table maybe 3 times. I ran out of my drink 2 times and had to wait about 20 minutes to get a refill each time. And this was more of a disappointment than it normally would be because she was only waiting on maybe 2 other tables. So, I'm not sure what she was doing with her time. If we are ever in the mood for deep dish pizza, we will return here! We aren't huge fans of deep dish, but enjoy it every so often, so I imagine we will return when that craving returns!

    Couldn't try the pizza because I called to see if they deliver to my address. they asked for my zip code and then said I don't think we deliver there. After putting the address in My GPS, I realized they are only 12 minutes from my house so I called back and asked them to check. The guy was like well you only gave your zip code and we need your street address. Ummm you only asked for my zip before saying no. He was completely rude and I won't give my business to someone that doesn't know how to provide at least decent customer service.

    I should preface this by saying that I don't think the pizza was bad at all. I just wasn't aware of what I was ordering exactly. From what I've been told, this is the most legitimate Chicago deep-dish style pizza in the area. One pizza is pretty expensive but they are really heavy and full of ingredients so you definitely get your moneys worth. I prefer deep-dish pizza with a flaky, buttery crust and a slight crunch. This is absolutely NOT that. It's more like a calzone with pizza toppings so it felt like I was eating copious amounts of cheese and sauce and hardly any crust (which was why I wanted deep dish). I don't think we'll be back. Out of 3 of us, no one liked the Chicago pizza and more than half of it got tossed in the trash. But like I said, I don't think it's so much that the pizza was really bad but more so that we are not Chicago pizza fans in this house.

    This deep dish is the real deal, folks. My background: I know what real, Chicago deep dish pizza is. I've been to Lou's, Gino's East, Giordano's, and Uno, many times over. And I've been disappointed by non-Chicago pizza joints claiming to make real deep dish. But not this time. Let me explain: It's 2" thick. A small weighs about eight pounds. It goes crust, cheese, sauce, toppings, in that order. The dough has a bit of crunch on the bottom, and is less crumbly than Lou's or Gino's, but still very good. Tristano's is a little crispy and a little flaky. There's a ton of cheese, as there should be, and it's low-moisture, non-greasy type. The sauce is ground/crushed tomatoes on top, with some spices in the mix, and is excellent. They make their own Italian sausage, which has some bite to it, and is great. Overall, just an excellent pie. For Columbus, this is a genuine 5-star pizza. Even if they were in Chicago, I'd still go 4-stars, it's that strong. The joint itself is small, with a few tables, but it has some personality. The woman who took my carry-out order was very nice and upgraded my small salad to a large, just because "it was my first visit." Cool. Thanks. So I love it. I'll be back.

    Finally got in there during open hours. The dining room is very small as it is built inside an old house but the waitress was really sweet and did a great job. The pizza took awhile to cook which is a good sign IMO and when it came out we were both won over instantly. I'm not a fan of chicago deep dish but this was a really good pizza. I strongly suggest the sausage and pep.

    I thought going here would not be too far, but the aroma of pizza in the car on the way home proved to be the longest roadtrip. My mouth was watering. We ordered the Pan pizza. It was phenomenal. The outer rim of the crust was thick, crunchy, with the perfect softness at the same time. We had meatballs as the topping, to be different. It was delicious! I recommend it if you are in the area!

    We had the stuffed pizza- what a behemoth! Massive amounts of cheese and crust and sauce. It was pretty darn good, but it is really heavy as one would imagine. I am more of a thin crust kind of gal and I will probably try it next time. I look forward to trying TRISTANOS again.

    The one thing that has been lacking from my Columbus pizza experience (with the full expectation, of course, that Bono will be up and running in their new location in short order) is an amazing, crave-worthy deep dish pizza. Y'all, I found that pizza. I was cruising Yelp for something else entirely when I saw their Chicago-style deep dish and thought, daaaaaang. That looks amazing. It looked like pizza I had actually had in Chicago. I worried when we went in on a Sunday evening and were the only people there besides the employees. As it turned out, I needn't have worried at all--in fact, I'm a little gobsmacked that we didn't arrive to find a wait, based solely on the quality of the pizza. I loved the flavor of the crust. It had a yeasty, almost fermented (in a good way--think beer) flavor. The toppings were light-handed but excellent in quality. There was a good amount of cheese, but it wasn't brick-heavy. Good sauce. All very balanced. I actually liked it better than Malnati's; hubs thought Malnati's had the edge (but agreed that this is still very, very good deep dish pizza). We also tried the cheesy garlic bread, because why not for $2.50? It's one of the better cheesy garlic bread offerings I've had in the Columbus area (well, for the ones that are on a sub roll instead of pizza dough, anyway). Good amount of cheese. I only bring that up because I rarely order garlic cheese bread due to the fact that it's usually awful, but theirs is good. (I saw a picture of it beforehand, which led to the ordering.) Service was attentive enough without being overbearing. Our server was really nice--you never know what you're going to get when you're the only ones in a restaurant, but he did a great job. The price was good for what we got. A small pizza is enough to feed up to three people (but I wouldn't try stretching it to four, cos only six slices), especially with garlic bread. Other pluses: very decent beer selection, a wrap-around patio porch that looks like great fun when the weather is warmer, a cozy and casual atmosphere due to being in a house that still pretty much feels like a house. Oh, and they have desserts, but I was too full to try them, so I can't vouch. Minuses: Parking seems like it would be a bummer if they were busy, because it seems to be street parking. But they might have parking that I missed. Also the fact that I have to (and yes, have to, because I need this pizza again) drive from OTE to get here, but that's just a personal gripe. ;)

    Tried it twice. Not impressed. One of 27 pizza places in grove city. I had sausage on a pizza from here and all I could taste was fennel. Even without the sausage, I'd rather make my own at home. They just don't come to mind when I think of decent pizza, but I'm a little picky.

    Ordered take out last night...a traditional pep, mush, and sausage. The place is a converted house and has an electric decor which is rather dark. They have an outside patio that was home to a group of hipsters drinking and smoking. Not sure what their deal was...waiting for pie, friends of the workers, I don't know, but they were harmless...it just seemed a little strange. Anyway, I do love me a thin crust pizza, and this place has it nailed. Super thing, browned nicely on the bottom, with a light char on the edges. Not soggy at all...almost cracker like, yum! Sauce is very good, tangy and not overly sweet. Pepperoni were just okay and the mushrooms were canned, but the sausage was killer. Great pork flavor, seasoned perfectly, and brought some heat too...nice! Cheese was good, but with the tangy sauce and spiced up sausage, it could have used more to balance it out. Not the best pie in C'bus, but certainly very very good, of which, I would definitely return. In fact, next time Im going to order the deep dish!

    Pretty horrible experience. I initially called to have a pizza delivered to my hotel room. The gentleman who answered the phone explained that they weren't delivering that evening because they'd just hired a new driver who was messing up all the orders and he didn't want to buy anyone anymore pizzas. (Sometimes honesty ISN'T the best policy) So I decided to go ahead and pick up my pizza. When I did so I found that they'd added sausage to my pizza, which I hadn't ordered. The pizza itself was fine, but nothing to write home about. This seems to be a poorly run operation.
